Emma Ek is a 200 hr RYT and Reiki Master. Emma was introduced to the practice of yoga in 2013 when she lived at an Integral Yoga ashram in Virginia as a LYT, living yoga trainnee. Shortly after, she did her YTT at Axis Yoga in Denver with a focus on Hatha Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Trauma Sensitive Yoga, and Ayurveda. Following her graduation, Emma taught yoga for three years overseas in Macedonia in the local language where she had opportunities to teach both adults and children.
Since her return to the states Emma has taught hatha yoga, non-heated vinyasa yoga, hot vinyasa yoga, gentle yoga, slow flow yoga, yin yoga, restorative yoga with reiki, SUP yoga, goat yoga, and yoga with live music. Emma has hosted workshops and taught at yoga festivals, furthermore, mentoring new yoga teachers. Emma has a passion in particular for private yoga classes- for tailoring yoga to work with people individually.
When Emma isn’t teaching yoga you can find her at her job as a Mental Health Worker or running her farm business, Heyday Homestead. You can also find her hiking in the mountains, dancing with her hula-hoop, strumming her ukulele, playing with her pets, or cooking up a delicious vegetarian meal.
